Jenx Supine Stander - Can be used by children up to 50 kg. We are unable to stand children with dystonia due to manual handling and safety issues. The wide support on this stander will allow us to stand those children safely. $8199 inclusive of p&h (quoted provided by Special Needs Solutions, May 2012)

Rifton Pacer Gait Trainers - Highly adjustable walking frame which can assist children with significant levels of disability to begin walking. As the child improves the supports can be gradually decreased. Approx $6,000 (quote provided by Special Needs Solutions)

Leckey Prone Stander, size 2 - To be used to replace the Mattara stander for children 4-9 years . $4118 (quote provided by GTK Rehab, May 2012)

Leckey Squiggles Early Sitting System - Floor seating option for children 18-48 months, to encourage the development of sitting balance. May also be attached to dining chair for sitting at a table. Approx $2100 (quote provided by GTK Rehab, May 2012)

Buddy Roamer Size 2 - To replace a broken Mullholland walker. This walker allows children with high levels of disability some freedom of movement. $5000, plus p&h (quote provided by Dejay Medical, May 2012)

Easy Seat Size 3 (3-8 years) - HIGHLY DESIRED - adjustable seat to use for children who are learning to sit with less support. $1500 (quote provided by Aidacare, Ingleburn, 9618 5111)

Easy Seat Size 4 (5-10 years) - HIGHLY DESIRED - adjustable seat to use for children who are learning to sit with less support. $1700 (quote provided by Aidacare, Ingleburn)

Small Sheepskin Boots - for children with fragile skin to prevent pressure areas on the heels. Four required at approx $35 each (Aged Care Linen Specialists, Seven Hills)

Just Play Round Foam Log - to help younger children develop head and upper body control. $59.95 (Clark Rubber Store)

Play Centre 2 - HIGHLY DESIRED - For children who like to explore with their hands/fingers, especially children who are semi-mobile or have some independent sitting/standing skills. The blank side can b used for attaching artwork or activities. $874.50, plus p&h (Child Friendly Solutions)

CDs - Children's music, relaxation music or music in various languages including Arabic and Chinese.

Children's DVDs - appropriate children's programs include Wiggles, animated movies.  Children enjoy music and bright colourful images.

Toys - Appropriate toys are bright, colourful, strong, durable, simple to use and able to withstand being thrown, chewed and having multiple users.  No soft fabric toys as children mouth toys and this is an infection control issue.  Also, toys with small attachments that can come off are not safe with the children.  Some examples of appropriate toys are:  hard plastic toys, noise making toys, musical toys, toys with lights, electronic keyboards, vibrating / moving toys, bright colourful children's books (0-5 years), sensory toys children can watch, eg., UFO lights.
