Jenx Supine Stander - Can be used by children up to 50 kg. We are unable to stand children with dystonia due to manual handling and safety issues. Children's DVDs - appropriate children's programs include Wiggles, animated movies. Children enjoy music and bright colourful images.
Toys - Appropriate toys are bright, colourful, strong, durable, simple to use and able to withstand being thrown, chewed and having multiple users. No soft fabric toys as children mouth toys and this is an infection control issue. Also, toys with small attachments that can come off are not safe with the children. Some examples of appropriate toys are: hard plastic toys, noise making toys, musical toys, toys with lights, electronic keyboards, vibrating / moving toys, bright colourful children's books (0-5 years), sensory toys children can watch, eg., UFO lights.
