The Recreation Team at Allowah always seem to be having fun! But there is a serious side to the work they do. They provide physical, social emotional and spiritual development for the children they support. Each child has a specific tailored recreation program for care during school holidays which includes various indoor and outdoor activities. The program enhances and develops your child’s skills in an enjoyable environment.
Allowah’s Recreation Team is led by an experienced primary teacher. We have dedicated and vibrant members who have backgrounds including early childhood teaching, occupational therapy, and leisure health. This diversity and experience means the team is able to provide services which meet a wide range of children’s needs and interests.
School Holiday Care Packages are designed to provide maximum entertainment and fun times for the children. Each of the themed activities is part of a specific program designed to further develop the sensory stimulation, fine motor and gross motor skills of the children, and also enhance their creativity. These activities are comprised of a myriad of arts and crafts, story time, relaxation, tactile exploration, music, outdoor play and real life activities such as camping, cooking and movie time.
We also love getting out and about as part of our Recreation Program. This allows children the experience of travelling outside of Allowah.
NDIS Funding
Your child may be able to purchase a School Holiday Care Package if they have NDIS Funding for:Assistance with daily life at home, in the community, in education and at work Improved relationships Increased social and community participation Core Support funding
School Holiday Packages can be arranged without NDIS funding on a fee for service basis.
