The Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with Allowah’s multidisciplinary team and will be directly responsible for leading and managing the delivery of nursing services and service improvements. The Nurse Manager will develop an operational plan for Allowah, identify and actively seek to develop a staffing profile reflective of the service needs and develop and manage the staffing budget. The Nurse Manager will develop the leadership and management potential of staff, identify, develop and facilitate a range of strategies to ensure staff have the knowledge and skills required to undertake their roles. The Nurse Manager will undertake planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of performance. The Nurse manager will utilise a range of communication strategies to foster shared decision making, responsibility and accountability.

Casual – Dundas Valley | Shifts available 7 days per week, 06:00 – 13:00 and 15:30 – 18:30.

We’re looking for someone to join our amazing Kitchen & Formula Room team! Would you like to make a difference in kids’ lives? Do you have a willingness to learn? If you’re keen to work in an environment that supports some amazing children and young adults to get the nutrients they need to flourish, then this is the job for you!

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • measuring, decanting and mixing formulas from client-specific recipes for daily feeds
  • preparation of food including main meals, snacks & desserts
  • cooking meals as required from pre-established recipes
  • ensuring dietary requirements are adhered to for clients
  • cleaning / washing up as required

On-the-job training is provided for applicants. Shifts 7 days per week 06:00 – 13:00 and 15:30 – 18:30.

Part time, 3-4 days / week

We are currently seeking a physiotherapist to join our team!

Are you focused on outcomes?

Do you have interest in developmental physiotherapy, postural assessment and management, equipment prescription and safe manual handling?

Able to work as an individual and part of the larger team?

Our supportive allied health team needs a passionate and dynamic physiotherapist who has initiative and drive to bring about change for children. The Physiotherapist will work within the private hospital setting providing both inpatient services and therapy in the community, using NDIS funding. This position is for 3-4 days a week. Contractors are welcome to apply.

Therapy services are family-centred and goals are set by parents. Our organisation strongly values families and cultural diversity. 

New graduates who are interested in paediatric settings in the disability sector are welcome to apply. Supervision and training can be provided, depending on level of experience.

Disability Support Workers – multiple roles, day, night, weekend, permanent and casual

Location: Allowah – Dundas Valley, Sydney

Are you a therapy, teaching, psychology, nursing, social work, disability support worker student or someone with experience in working with children or in the area of disability? Or would you like to gain experience?
We have fun weekend, evening and school holiday activity programs at Allowah where children with varied abilities come to socialise with their peers, have some fun and build skills. We also provide accommodation services and need support workers to work as part of our care teams.
We support children with disabilities including cerebral palsy, ASD, intellectual disability, epilepsy, and behaviours of concern. We aim to give them an opportunity to develop their skills in relating to peers, participating in recreational activities of interest to the child and practising independence activities. The focus of our work is fun for the individual child provided in an environment where they can use/ learn communication skills for developing friendships.

You will need to have a valid Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Clearance prior to starting work.

Allowah offers quality allied health therapies to children and teenagers with complex disabilities and medical needs – both as hospital in-patients and as NDIS clients using Allowah Disability Support Services. We have a growing demand for delivery of NDIS supports within the community and at Allowah.

Our allied health team aims to include: physiotherapy, speech pathology, dietetics, occupational therapy and behavioural support.

Human Resources Advisor, Jericho Road

Are you an HR specialist looking to work around 23 hours per week in a small, dedicated team where you can make a real difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community? Are you looking for a role with considerable autonomy and executive support to implement innovative, best practice HR initiatives?

Jericho Road is looking for a Human Resource Advisor to join our dedicated workforce. You will be responsible for working alongside the Director of Finance & Operations to undertake the HR function of our five business units: Children Services, Chaplaincy, Counselling, Conduct Protocol Unit, and the largest of our services, Allowah. You will contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance, and retention, as well as oversee the staff lifecycle from start to finish alongside our Payroll Officer. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of HR practices, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Requirements:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • 5 years proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role. 
      • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices.
      • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.
      • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management abilities.
